Only the Name Has Changed!

In recent months EO has gone through some changes that were done to both benefit our clients and further promote our business.

Name Change

As of January 26, 2009, EOgroup.net, Inc. is now EO Design Group, Inc. We have changed our name to reflect what we do best, design. From professional graphic design to the implementation of complex, data-driven websites, it is our goal to provide our clients with top notch work that will increase business. Here is how the name change will impact you:

  • Emails:  All @eogroup.net email addresses have been converted to @eodesigngroup.com addresses.  So please update your address books.
  • Website:  Our website address is now www.eodesigngroup.com.  If you go to www.eogroup.net it will re-route to www.eodesigngroup.com.
  • Payments:  All checks should now be made payable to EO Design Group.  Since we understand that you may need time to update your accounting systems, we will still accept checks made out to EOgroup until the end of February.
  • Proposal and Work Requests:  All existing proposals and work requests made under the EOgroup.net name, whether approved or pending, will still be valid and honored.  Any future proposals or work will be done under the EO Design Group name.

Changes to How We Work:

One of the biggest changes we have made was actually behind the scenes.

  • 100% Telecommuting Company:  In September 2008, EO decided to do a three month telecommuting trial.  This meant that we would allow all our team members to be able to work remotely, outside the office and EO would track the impact to our clients and the quality of our work and service.  Due to the sudden economic downturn and the minimal client meetings, we realized there was no need to have an actual office.

One of the most important requirements was to ensure that all information and data was SECURED.  We did this by signing up for a dedicated server with a prominent company, which kept all of our information and files centralized.   Even though we are now  telecommuting, our client files and information are now more secure than ever.

The Benefit to You and EO:  Because of this change, we were able to drastically minimize our overhead, paying around $4,000+ a month (office, utilities, etc.) to less than $3,000 a month.  This is why back in November of 2008, we were able to reduce our fees from $125 to $95 per hour.

  • Voice Over IP (VolP) Phone system - Internet Phones:  From the beginning EO side-stepped the use of normal land-line services because of how expensive they were.  In order to get region, long distance, call waiting, call forwarding, conference call (of 3 or more) and many other features a business would need, one land line would have cost us about $150 a month, plus installation fee, etc.  For example: 5 land-lines would be billed around $750 a month + installation.  We decided to try a VolP system in September 2008.

Since we made the decision to stick to telecommuting we got rid of our actual phones all together and signed up for Skype.  Skype allowed us to have the phone where ever we had a computer and internet connection.  Skype runs through the computer, no actual phone is required, not even wiring if you have a wireless network, which we did.  This provided for even greater mobility and freedom.  Not only that but the price dropped to $10 per line for unlimited long-distance and regional calling + all the features a business needs, such as call transfer, wall waiting , voicemail and conference calls etc.

The benefit to you and EO:  Since switching to Skype and reducing our phone prices dramatically, it also helped reduce the fees in November.  The best part is, it was simple and easy.
